Spencer Jones exploded onto our TV screens and into the hearts and minds of millions of Australians during the 6th season of The Voice in 2017, where he defied popular belief by making it to the semi finals, making him the most successful rock musician in the history of The Voice Australia ever, at that time. Spencer lived up to his "Rock God" status and showed us just how much fight was in his heart during live show 2 with a performance that catapulted him out of the bottom two against Bojesse Pigram. The live audience was heard gasping at the announcement of his song choice and waited with bated breath for him to either deliver or crash and burn. And deliver he did! Spencer's touching and incredibly raspy rendition of Adele's Skyfall has been hailed as one of the best performances of The Voice globally. His coach, Kelly Rowland exclaimed how exciting he is to work with and Spencer proved himself to be a seasoned and stunning live performer every time he took the stage.
Born of One-Nighters
Spencer’s music career started in his homeland of the UK when he was 17. After doing the hard yards in clubs and pubs around London he eventually started recording and touring with some of the nations best musicians including Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy), Deborah Bonham, Kim Mazelle (Soul2Soul), Mica Paris, Asia, Andy Barnett (FM) and more before meeting his Australian wife in a club in Covent Garden and moving to Australia.
Australia is Now His Home
For the past 20 years Spencer has made Australia his home. Just as he had left off in London, Spencer picked it right back up when landing here. Recording and singing live with Australia’s best – Jimmy Barnes, Dave Leslie (Baby Animals), Ash Maklad (Shannon Noll, Wendy Matthews), Craig Porteils (Richie Sambora), the multi Aria and Grammy award winning Eric J Dubowsky and many more. Today, he can be found playing regular gigs at Frankies Pizza By The Slice in Hunter St, Sydney with the Frankies World Famous House Band.
